With stories and vintage images, it tells of voyaging Polynesians, divine chiefs, riotous whaling crews, dedicated missionaries and hardworking sugar-plantation immigrants.  The author has also revised this edition to include the tragic August 8, 2023 Maui Wildfires which destroyed the historic Lahaina Town and other communities on the island of Maui.  A portion of the sale proceeds will go to the employees of our Lahaina Christmas Store on Front Street.  Our store was completely destroyed in the fires and displaced all of our beloved staff.
